Tended Root’s focus on maternal health comes from the belief that when women feel supported and seen in their bodies, cultures, and gifts, they in turn experience healthier, safer, more joyful pregnancies, childbirths and motherhoods.

Do you feel a sense of potential and growth during your transition to motherhood and want support stepping into this time of your life?

Having spent the last few years working in institutionalized healthcare as a labor and delivery nurse, I have fought hard not to accept our Western standard of care as normal. Though often carried out by well intentioned, loving individuals (not unlike myself), there is a deep history of inequity and symptom-focused care that often goes unacknowledged within this system.

I am on a mission to help raise the health and potential of an entire society.

A cultural reshaping can happen when healthcare professionals witness their patients as unique and whole beings, without the need to assimilate or change them and actively choose to serve their patients, rather than service them.

Tended Root’s practice is the re-membering that we are all our own greatest healers, and that while external community support can be essential to feeling safe and held, the deep healing work always happens within.

At Tender Root, we focus on the continuum of motherhood. Our in-home care serves your physical, emotional and spiritual bodies. We are here to bear witness to your journey as you drop inward, rediscover and reclaim the parts of yourself that crave tending.

Whether you are considering conception, are pregnant, or are postpartum, it is an honor to share this intimate space with you as you prepare, repair and deeply embody your Self.

Using physical and energetic modalities we assist your conscious and subconscious minds in the re-membering that you are your own greatest healer.

Tended Root offers community-centered care that respects our innate human intelligence.  We offer our humility and reverence for the indigenous practices that guide our care. We give back to the folks and local organizations that are relentlessly working to dismantle the health disparities that impede BIPOC communities from accessing safe and nurturing care.

We look forward to serving you,
